Assumptions

  1. The PAYG tax (plus medicare levy) has been calculated on the income fields entered only and assuming that you have no deductions. Tax has not been calculated on any other income.
  2. Tax on partner's income has been calculated separately.
  3. PAYG tax is calculated using the personal marginal income tax rates plus Medicare levy effective from 1 July 2019 with a tax free threshold claimed and no leave loading. The PAYG tax calculation takes into account the Low Income Tax Offset (LITO) and Low and Middle Income Tax Offset (LMITO) effective 1 July 2019.
  4. The 1% Medicare levy surcharge has not been included in this calculator. As a result, if you do not have an appropriate level of private patient hospital cover, your tax liability could be 1% higher than the amount determined by the calculator.
  5. The calculator assumes that you are not entitled to a Medicare Levy exemption. If you are entitled to an exemption, this would mean that your tax liability is less than the amount determined by the calculator.
  6. NO allowance has been made for HEC and Family Benefit payments.
  7. You are 18 years of age or older.
